OVERVIEW

Experience one of the most exciting adventures in Peru, combining mountain biking, hiking, breathtaking landscapes, and the unforgettable visit to the Lost City of the Incas.

DAY 1: CUSCO – ABRA MÁLAGA – SANTA MARÍA

Our adventure begins with an early hotel pick-up in Cusco at approximately 6:00 a.m. We travel through the Sacred Valley toward Abra Málaga Pass (4,316 m / 14,160 ft), where you'll enjoy spectacular views of the Andes.

After a safety briefing and bike equipment fitting, we start an exhilarating downhill mountain biking ride through cloud forests and lush landscapes, descending nearly 3,000 meters.

Along the route, there will be several stops for photos and rest.

  • Mountain biking: approximately 55 km
  • Maximum altitude: 4,316 m (14,160 ft)
  • Overnight altitude: 1,430 m (4,692 ft)

After lunch, we continue to Santa María, where guests can relax or participate in an optional white-water rafting activity (seasonal).

DAY 2: SANTA MARÍA – QUELLOMAYO – SANTA TERESA

After breakfast, we begin our trek along original sections of the ancient Inca Trail. The route offers stunning views of the Urubamba Valley and passes through coffee, coca, banana, and tropical fruit plantations.

Our guide will share information about local history, flora, fauna, and Andean traditions.

We stop for lunch in Quellomayo before continuing toward Santa Teresa.

In the afternoon, you may visit the famous Cocalmayo Hot Springs, one of the most beautiful thermal baths in the Cusco region.

  • Hiking time: 7–8 hours
  • Overnight altitude: 1,550 m (5,085 ft)

DAY 3: SANTA TERESA – HIDROELÉCTRICA – AGUAS CALIENTES

Following breakfast, adventurous travelers can enjoy, zipline experience, soaring above the Sacred Valley landscapes.

Later, we transfer to Hidroeléctrica for lunch. From there, we hike alongside the railway tracks through the cloud forest to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival, your guide will provide a briefing for the next day's visit to the archaeological site.

  • Hiking time: Approximately 3 hours

DAY 4: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

After an early breakfast, we ascend to the majestic Machu Picchu Citadel, either by bus (optional) or on foot.

Enjoy a professionally guided tour of approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, exploring the most important sectors of the sanctuary, including:

  • Main Plaza
  • Temple of the Sun
  • Temple of the Three Windows
  • Sacred Rock
  • Agricultural Terraces
  • Urban Sector

After the guided tour, you'll have free time to take pictures and explore on your own.

Later, return to Aguas Calientes to board the train to Ollantaytambo, where our private transportation will take you back to Cusco.
